Dr. Armstrong frequently serves as an expert in both civil and criminal forensic cases, and he teaches graduate level psychology and counseling courses full-time in the DFW area. At Integra, he is the clinical director/CEO and his wife (Leah) is the COO and general manager of Integra. They live in Wylie with their two wonderful kids (ages 7 & 4) and their two dogs. Dr. Armstrong and his wife each have a passion for serving both their local community and the broader DFW and Northeast Texas area as a hub for expert-level neuropsychological and psychological evaluations, therapeutic ADHD testing and treatment, general mental and brain health education, and overall mental wellness and psychiatric treatment for kids, adults, and older adults.
Dr. Armstrong and his clinical staff are all highly passionate about and committed to de-stigmatizing and demystifying mental health treatment. For too long, the words "mental disorders", "psychology," "psychological testing," and "psychological evaluation" have been associated with creepy and cold doctors, scary stories, and negative stereotypes - all of which have only served as psychological obstacles to those in need of mental health treatment.
At Integra, Dr. Armstrong strives to combine his almost 15 years of clinical experience with a down-to-earth and warm/approachable attitude. He and his clinical staff are committed to spending as much time as needed with each patient to ensure that they feel listened to, genuinely valued as a person and not just another patient, and that their questions and concerns have been actively addressed.
Each evaluation and treatment approach is strengths-based. Dr. Armstrong and his clinical staff use this strengths-based model and integrate the latest and most up-to-date research to inform their evaluations and treatment plans based on the individual needs of each patient. The staff at Integra collaborate closely with local psychiatrists, neurologists, pediatricians, school districts, and various agencies to provide a resource for expert-level diagnostics, mental health treatment, and community education.
